My Favourite Things! May edition

Hi everyone! I’ve tried a lot of new products lately and a lot I’d them have been great! I’ve gotten a lot of them from my vegans cuts box that gets delivered to my house. I also have those products that just never fail me and I buy over and over again that I love. I feel like when you know something works well you should share that information to others. I get excited about finding new products that truly work, are made of natural ingredients, aren’t too costly and of course are vegan.

I often get asked about what products I use and I thought that once a month I should create a video on my channel with my favourites of the month. In May I had a lot of favourites and had to really decide what I wanted to share! Too many good ones!

What new products have you tried lately? What do you love about them? I’d love to know, so drop me a comment below or on my YouTube channel.

As a mom I’m always on the hunt for great natural based products that my children can use as well. Most of my children have sensitive skin, so I’m always open to learning about what works for others.

I hope you enjoy my video. I’ll link it below.

Have a wonderful week!

Fresh Start & New Goals!

Instead of starting new goals on June 1st I decided to shake it up a little and implement them now. I’m kinda in the feeling high vibrational mode and I thought why not just jump into it? New goals are a way we can say I’m important and I want to implement changes right now.

I was never one of those people who started new challenges or goals in the new year. As if January 1st will magically make you ready to accomplish all your goals. I feel like we all know when the right time is and we get that nudge to make changes when we are meant to. There is no perfect time of the year or situation. We just have to trust our intuition and roll with it. In my experiences the biggest changes are made this way.
This week my 18 year old and I signed up at a gym together. We decided that we will get healthier, fitter and work towards our goals together. This brings us an opportunity to spend one on one time together as well. I’m a mother of 5 and any opportunity for quality time is wonderful! Together we will motivate each other as well as enjoy some good laughs. After all I’m rusty and haven’t been working out hard for a long while now! My daughter has never been a gym person until now as well. Lots of learning and life experiences lay ahead.
It’s also 24 hours so even though I work 12 hour shifts I will still have ample time to fit my workout in. We made sure we picked a place that covered all the bases. No excuses! I look forward to my new challenges and I cant wait to bring myself to a healthier state. I’ll bring you guys along with me as well. I’ll post about my health journey and record videos for my YouTube channel (Vegan MommyDee).
Have you recently started implementing new things into your life? Have you set some new goals too? I’d love to hear about it! Let me know in the comments what’s happening with you. Let’s support and encourage one another on this wellness journey!

Vegan Cuts Box Goodies!

Hi everyone! I hope your all having wonderful weekend!

I just Subscribed to Vegan Cuts a couple months ago. For those of you that isn’t know it’s a monthly subscription that gets delivered to your home. I decided on the Beauty Box which has a combination of cosmetics, hair care and skin care items in it. They also have cosmetics only boxes and snack boxes as well. They seen to have a box that will make everyone happy.

The best part is it’s all VEGAN! I love that I now get to try out some new products that I can’t get where I live. I dont have to do endless research on these products because Vegan Cuts has done that for me too. Yippee!

My first box was mainly cosmetics which I really liked. They gave me neutral tones that would work for pretty much anyone.

I made a video on my YouTube channel with my 2nd box. This box was Spring Skin Care theme. It was loaded with practical items which I really enjoyed. I think my favourite item was the natural face cleanser that also works as shaving cream! I love products like that!

Let me know if you Subscribe to Vegan Cuts and what box you get. Give me some feedback in the comments below or let me know on my YouTube channel. I’d love to know which boxes are the best in your opinion!

Quick Meals!

I’m often making quick meals on the go. I feel like most people can relate. We’re all short on time and in a rush to make fast and easy meals. The hard part is creating meals that are healthy so we aren’t tempted to eat anything we can get our hands on. Worst still is grabbing takeout and fast food when we’re in a rush.

I find by sticking to some staple meals I’m able to quickly whip them together in no time at all. By always keeping staple items on hand at home it will make your life so much easier. I also make bigger batches of rice, baked oats and porridge so I have left overs for the next day. I love taking left over porridge to work for breakfast and then I add some berries to it and hemp hearts. That will keep me feeling full long and I wont have to spend money buying an unhealthy breakfast option on the go.

I always make extra sweet potato, white or yellow potatoes in my pressure cooker too. I just use the extra for lunch the next day for my hubby and I. I just add some seasoning to it and eat it with a hearty salad. It’s a simple, fast and nutritious meal!

I love making things like chia pudding in a Mason jar too. I make a few days worth of chia pudding and then we have the perfect breakfast for work or a great go to snack. I don’t have to worry about what to make because that meal is covered. Simple tips like this help keep us on track and because it’s so nutritious it will give us ample energy for our busy lives!

I’ve added below my new YouTube video. It’s another What I Eat in a Day video This edition is Quick Meal Ideas that are healthy and super fast to create.

If you haven’t already Subscribed to my channel please do. I’d greatly appreciate the support. Also don’t forget to follow my blog for future posts and follow me across social media.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Vegan Shopping at Target!

Hi everyone! If your celebrating Easter then Happy Easter weekend as well!

My newest video on my YouTube channel is a Target Haul. As a Canadian I really miss having Target here! I always seemed to find good deals and I loved how it was one stop shopping. I could meet all our needs shopping in only one store.

I now have to cross the border to shop there and boy do I love my shopping trips there! I cross the border every so often to do some shopping at various stores. I’m looking for products that I can’t find here and want to try out. I’m not crossing the border looking for deals because let’s face it there aren’t that many.

My favorite part about visiting Target is that cute dollar store ish area where you can find random stuff in. Birthday party stuff, decorative items, craft supplies, etc.

The kids and I also love checking out the cute t-shirts they always have. From Gilmore Girls, Stranger Things to cute Avocado shirts. Such awesome finds!

What do you like best at Target? Let me know in the comments below.

Please check out the link to my new video and Subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already. I appreciate your support!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Canadian shopping trip at Trader Joe’s!

Good afternoon everyone! I hope you are all doing magnificent today!

Last week I visited Trader Joe’s food market for the first time! I’m Canadian and we don’t have those stores here unfortunately. We cross the border from time to time to do some shopping and decided to check our Trader Joe’s. It was a nice store with quite a few vegan options which was great. It wasn’t very big but it was packed with some pretty good finds however. To my American friends please let me know what items I should check out the next time I go there in the comments. That would be very helpful!

I decided to film a new video of my food Haul for you guys to see what goodies I picked up! Check it out! I’ll post link below. Please like & subscribe to my channeif you haven’t already. I’d love to see my wellness community grow on YouTube as well. Thanks!

Have a wonderful day!

Life is Short so Live it Up!

I used to be afraid of change until I realized that you miss out on too many opportunities living this way. I didn’t feel like I was smart enough or capable of going for these goals I wanted to accomplish. I felt like taking risks and going for new opportunities or goals was unacceptable as a parent because it was too risky. The problem with this way of thinking I learned is that your children start to have limiting beliefs about themselves as well as they observe our behaviors.

The people we surround ourselves with influence our decisions and either become our cheer leaders or our obstacle stopping us from our goals. I believe that was one of the reasons why I didn’t go for it and jump into new challenges. My former partner made sure I knew how little I could do on my own. He made me feel insignificant and small. He also made sure I had lots of obstacles ahead of me so that I would surely decide I couldn’t set my goals.

I hit a point where all of a sudden I had enough of the negative talk and energy around me. I decided to start my fitness journey and also go back to school part time. I was made to feel guilty about not being the best stay at home mom I could be anymore. I now had to focus a lot of it time to these new life challenges and goals I had set in place for myself. I put up with the negative talk but kept pushing through. I believed that both of my new goals would one day benefit my children and everything would be worth it in the end.

I waited too long perhaps to finally set my self free. There will never be a perfect time or situation so you just have to go for it. When your gut feeling tells you its time o start a new chapter then that means it’s the perfect time.

Life is short and yet we create all these rules upon ourselves and limitations. What’s the worst thing that could happen to you if you peruse something and it doesn’t work out like you imagined? You still learned from this experience and you will never live with the regret of not trying.

My cousin who was also my best friend passed away suddenly of Cancer years ago and it was a wake up call for me in so many ways. I finally saw how little time we have on this earth in this lifetime. Why are we wasting time living at a standstill when we can truly be living beyond our dreams? Taking those risks, trying new things setting those goals, and saying YES to those amazing life experiences when they come our way!

I say lets make 2019 a year where we set our worries and limiting beliefs aside. Let’s strive to learn and experience more! We are truly capable of living a magnificent life if we only allow ourselves to.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Let me know in the comments below if you plan on taking the plunge into a new adventure!
